Mount Everest, also known as Sagarmatha or Qomolangma, is the
highest mountain on Earth. It is situated in the Mahalangur
Himal sub-range of the Himalayas, with the China–Nepal border
crossing its summit. The mountain's elevation, measured at
8,848.86 meters, was confirmed in 2020 by Chinese and Nepali
authorities.
Mount Elbrus
Mount Elbrus is the highest mountain in Russia and Europe. It is
a dormant volcano rising 5,642 m above sea level, and is the
highest stratovolcano in the supercontinent of Eurasia, as well
as the tenth-most prominent peak in the world
Mount Denali
Denali also known as Mount McKinley, its former official name)
is the highest mountain peak in North America, with a summit
elevation of 20,310 feet (6,190 m) above sea level.
Mount Kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano in Tanzania. It is the
highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing
mountain above sea level in the world: 5,895 m above sea level
and 4,900 m above its plateau base. It is also the highest
volcano in the Eastern Hemisphere and the fourth most
topographically prominent peak on Earth.
Mount Kosciuszko
It is located in the state of New South Wales, in the
southeastern part of the country. It is not technically
Australia's largest peak, because a volcano (Mawson Peak) on the
Australian-owned Heard Island off the coast of Antarctica is
taller.
